I know my area in the Netherlands, but my understanding and of others of spanish and portuguese is very basic, so I think it is good to have a small introduction in dutch or english for the English and Dutch speaking part of the Geni managers.

So I suggest to move the main text to the correct language field and fill the english (standard) tab and the dutch tab.

It is a part of the Dutch history that is not wel known in the Netherlands. So I need to read it and read it again.

I hope I can find some Dutch users that are willing to donate some time into helping out in tell the story about this shared history between Brazil and the Netherlands.

For Brazilians, it was a historical fact studied since primary schools. See that in this Project and others there is a period when the Dutch were Governors of the provinces. I would like your help to locate these profiles on Geni.

I have talked with a Brazilian, who is now living in the Netherlands and she does not know of this period. I guess she is or not a true Brazilian or did sleep during her history lessons.

Oke, let for the moment limit ourselves with finding the profiles from this period.

Certainly this Brazilian is counterfeit. But that doesn't scare me anymore.

This is an elementary school subject. Mauricio de Nassau or Johan Maurits 'der Brasilianer' von Nassau-Siegen [Johann Moritz, Fürst von Nassau-Siegen] is one of the best known figures in Northeast Brazil.
