ATTENTION ALL CURATORS And GENI And MYHERITAGE STAFF!
NOW HEAR THIS!
I just paid Geni $119.40 for a one year subscription. I also paid MyHeritage $119.40 for a one year subscription. I got immediate emails and a phone call confirming these newly paid for memberships. So, I then went to an email I had with Smart Matches, to do some work on my tree. As soon as I went to a profile to confirm or reject, I got another pop-up demanding still another, not quite, $100.00 from MyHeritage, so I could enter data.
I have been trying for several months to get them to tell me EXACTLY how much it was going to cost me to work freely in both sites. No answer. One curator even sent a message to customer service, on my behalf, to give me an answer to this ONE EXTREMELY SIMPLE question 2-3 weeks ago. No answer.
I have made many comments concerning this problem already. I only got anger from curators.
The problem is that I'm not the only person complaining about these continuous surprise fees, and still can't do anything more than what you could do with the free memberships, and don't tell me it takes them time to process those fees, because I got instant confirmations on my paid memberships, AND I waited three weeks for Geni to get my membership processed the last time I bought one with them and could still did nothing.
You want more paying members? Then do what it takes to get them.
I don't want to hear one angry or unhelpful word from even one curator. If you can't give me an honest answer, I don't want to hear from you, but it is way past time the administrators of both companies understood reality.
REALITY! You're not going to get paying members by acting like scammers. Your pop-up surprise fees, with all their empty promises is the favorite trick of all scammers. You've heard the saying, "Honesty is the best policy"? Well, there's a mountain full of truth in that saying!
VERY Sincerely,
Sylvia M. Hertel
