Regrettably, I cannot figure out why @anna stroup Unknown Peckham has parents that are 400 years younger than she is, but perhaps a bad merge can be found by someone with more expertise in finding such things.

Lee: I disconnected Anna's parents. There are MH Family Trees which have Anna's parents as HENRY & Angeline (not John & Angeline) with reasonable birth dates (1400's) and location in England. The John Stroup of Pennsylvania that was previously her parent was obviously a mis-connection or a mis-merge.

Ashley Odell, I don't know where these came from, and we don't have an Emma in the family.
I got a message that I was Sarah's manager after posting to this discussion.

Ashley and Tiffany: Tiffany became manager of the Pickard profile because I clicked "Abandoned Tree" on the previous sole manager. This happened when Tiffany approached me for help and I advised she posted here. This was after she confirmed to me she didn't know where the 4 generations below the Pickard profile belonged, but she was sure it wasn't where they currently are.

You cannot, - first of all because it is a user profile, secondly it is in an unconnected abandoned tree (it looks like an abandoned GEDCOM upload never logged in to), so just forget about those profiles.

Will leaving a message in the "What are Discussions updates..." let the "powers that be" be enough to let them know I dislike the new procedure??? Or is there some other place it needs to go??? I left my comments there.

I started a discussion several months ago on "Genealogy Humor", but am never sure how many are reading it as only a few make any comments. How can I let the Geni community know about this discussion site??? Someone made the comment "I just found this discussion..." and that was at least 2+ months after it started!! I try to put something in it every day. Would appreciate any humor that others may want to contribute also!!!

Does that work for you? (I know it can be stressful to see wrong people attached to close family.) I suspect that's what will end up happening, but I just want to be fair and let the other user have a say and a chance to explain. I know that in my family, a DNA test startled us with an unexpected half-sister for my mother, so things happen...

FYI: Private User I'm sure you know this, but events such as marriage, birth, death, baptism, and burial are all automatically created on the timeline. Marriage, of course, is accessible via the Relationship Tab. Other Timeline events do need to be added from the Timeline Tab.

This profile for Agnes (Private) should be merged with this profile for Agnes (Unknown Profile). Additionally, this profile for Michael (Michael Vertes) should be merged with this profile for Michael (Unknown Profile). I requested that they be merged a while ago, since their daughter currently has duplicative parents (and grandparents), but no one has acted on my request. Are you able to complete the merge?

You are correct Chén Fènggé 陳鳳閣, 諱:考（巧），字:仲義，號:景夷, 125, 84, 37, 1G is deceased but private. I can edit the profile but I cannot change it from private to public.

I'm not sure why. Both parents are also deceased. Perhaps who ever claimed this profile at some point deliberately set it to private via the privacy settings, and therefore needs to be changed in the privacy settings not the profile. I'm not sure how we would do that if we're not the actual person, who's deceased. Hmmm?
