Elizabeth Merbury[1] was born circa 1412 at of Lyonshall & Weobley, Herefordshire, England; Age 26 in 1438.[2] She married Sir Walter Devereux, Sheriff of Herefordshire & Gloucestershire, Constable of Wigmore, Keeper of Leominster, son of Walter Devereux, Esq. and Elizabeth Bromwich, circa 1432; They had 2 sons (Sir Walter, Lord Ferrers of Chartley; & Sir John) and 1 daughter (Anne, wife of Sir William Herbert, 1st Earl of Pembroke, 1st Lord Herbert).[3] Elizabeth Merbury died before 1459.[4]
