Hi, I'm looking for more information on Ripeka (who I believe was the grand daughter of Tama Te Kapua). As Ripeka married a George Green. One of their children was George Green II, who married Tosi Anae. They had 2 childen, John and Maria. My mother comes from the John Green line. I would like to know more information about Ripeka and if possible, George Green as well. If you can please help me, that'd be wonderful.
Thanks,
Italia
Tena koe Italia. Sorry I can't tell you, I have no idea, I'm trying to do the same on my dads mums side! Lol but different line to you.
Do u know which iwi u whānau are from? Or where they claim Whenua to?
Start there, find her iwi, and ask them, it's the best place to start, other wise find people from the iwi ur Kuia is from and explain that you are researching your whakapapa.
It would be a Te Arawa iwi more than likely, but then again, she may have been brought up under another iwi,
It's hard, but rewarding to find stuff! I'm going over to ancestory.com now, more search options..

Kia Ora Tane, Sorry I couldn't find the hypenated a for your name. Thanks so much for you help thus far. I made some connections on ancestry.com as well. Unfortunately I don't know any answers to your questions you've asked. I have very little to go on but I'll keep searching, like you are too. I've made some inquiries at some websites so hopefully it'll come back with some information for me. I'll do some research at the library as well. All the best in your research for your whakapapa.
