Susan, I am not a expert on geneaology nor am I a historian , I was simply doing my own family tree and mainly researching my Choctaw Indian ancestry when I found myself connected all the way back to God and the gods such as Zeus, I must admit I was taken by suprize and my opinion of Geni's credibility was shaken. I am interested in these lines and hopefully can learn from others that have researched these connections.

The Genesis 6:4 confirms also the Hindu and Greek genealogical truth.

2/15/2013 at 5:32 PM

as I compare those gods and goddesses, they are similar to the patron and patroness or the saints of the Catholics taking charge of the petitions for specific purpose. Really a lot of similarities.

Andrei uSTARes ACOSTA . yes genesis 6:4 very interesting indeed.......but I must be careful if I state my views on the bible here on Geni.

Dardanus King of Arcadia my 80th great grandfather.
all of this going back to the gods and so forth is very interesting , but I can't even get the information on my 4th great grandfather corrected even with well documented historical evidence.
the problem in this day and age it only takes one person to put some false information on the internet or post.... others take it and run with it, it ends up on a wiki file and it is there forever no way of ever correcting it .

Steve - the master profile designation helps with profiles, particularly against spurious / incorrect information. Also be sure and add documents and "source cite" them - it shows in "merge view."

Thanks Erica, with the help of Marvin we have it correct here on Geni ,but the information that is elsewhere will never be corrected . have been trying for 5 years with no real results.

Direct them to the Geni tree! Or let them live with their errors.:)

You shouldn't have to get all the way back to Zeus before you start wondering if this line is accurate ;)

Private User
4/2/2017 at 6:24 AM

Yes the line is not accurate because we know all these so called "mythology creatures" the fallen angels mated with women and result the half breeds, the giants, men of renown, the mighty men ALL DIED IN THE FLOOD...AND ONLY NOAH AND HIS SONS AND WIFE'S WERE SAVED on the ark and repopulated the earth ONLY THEM so NO ONE should be connected to these creatures that died in the flood EVERYONE IS EITHER FROM THE THREE SONS OF NOAH, JAPHETH, SHEM OR HAM.

Private User
4/2/2017 at 6:43 AM

Yes the bible does say (I forgot lol) that even after the flood some survived but the Israelite's were instructed to exterminate them ALL and so they did, so they are all dead and no I am NOT RELATED TO THEM .

4/2/2017 at 7:28 AM

There are no proven lines in western Europe that go back before about 500 or 600. Everything before that is a fake line. If you know that, you can evaluate the lines on Geni very quickly.

WELL WHEN I WAS PUTTING IN MY LINES THIS IS AS FAR BACK AS I GOT. THE FIRST IMMIGRANT FROM ENGLAND THOMAS FLAGG, THE LINEAGES WAS FROM A BOOK WRITTEN ON THE FLAGG'S AND IN IT WRITTEN THAT IT WAS NOT KNOWN WHO HIS PARENTS WERE, SO I DON'T SEE HOW SOMEONE CAME UP WITH HIS PARENTS TO EVEN CONNECT THIS.
Thomas Flagg is your 10th great grandfather.
