However, Alberic II was, and that is where the legend of the de Vere star comes from.the First Crusade was in 1096-1099.

Geni had a bit of a meltdown halfway through that comment. Richard I was not born until 1157 so he couldn't have participated in the First Crusade 1096-1099. This would have been one of Alberic's descendants.
