Albert Janse Steenwyck and Pietertie Pieterdr. bapt. Ann in 30 Oct. 1681, so Albert did not die in 1669
There is no evidence that Albert Janse Steenwyck marr. 2) Pietertie Pieters.
The three children are above Anna, 12 Aug. 1683 Anna again and 2 Aug. 1685 Pietertie
This Albert Janse Steenwyck COULD be son of JAN Albertse Steenwyck who with wife- unborn child and small daughter died in 1663
and left "minor children" which are so far not identified.
It is a very confusing issue as the murdered Jan IS NOT son of Albert who marr. 1664, because Jan was born way before 1664.
This will all need further serious research

I don't know if this helps but it looks like Albert was definitely alive in 1696, he stands as a witness at the baptism of his nephew Albert, son of Aeltje van Steenwijck.

Barbara: Thanks for sending me the files on your notes about @Albert Jansen Van Steenwyck. As you gave me permission in an email, I thought I'd include them as a text file under "documents". This should detail in depth what you are saying above.
I am hoping you check the notes, as I've made a few minor spelling changes for clarity.

Barbara: It may be only circumstantial evidence but isn't it notable that, according to your notes, Albert JVS settled and raised a family in WIltwyck (Kingston) ?

"Issue from Albert Jans and Hilletie Hendricks
1) Geertje Alberts 14 Dec. 1665
2) Aeltje Albers from Kings Town marr. 4 Sept. 1687 “Aaron Jacob jm. From Albany liv. Kingston”
3) Andries Alberts bapt. 21 Nov. 1666 in Kingston"

With so much of that area being burnt to the ground by the Esopus, this was (IMO) brave for the family to stay there, even though Cregier and his forces had decimated the Esopus tribe in retribution.

Alex: Yes, thanks, 1696 is Albert's last recording as far as is known, but 10 Feb. 1696 baptism of Albert would be his grandson.

Mike: People continued to live in Wildwyck, I think only 12 houses were burned whereas the Nieuw Doorp was completely destroyed
