Aletta Maria Potgieter, b1c6d4e6 - ALERT - Aletta Maria Potgieter mix up in SAG v8

Presently Antonie Michael Muller has both these women as a wife

I have removed Maria b1c8d1e1 as the wife of Antonie Michiel Muller b2c1 - if it is found that she was his wife we can reinstate.

FIne by me June. I don't feel like going there today.
We have corrected those so many times I can't even count.

to many people can still change profiles - before you add /change information on a profile that's been loaded to GENi more than a month ago - check first if you are really as correct as you think you are. (I talk to myself too now)

Rather start a discussion on what you believe should be different and why before we just change things

It had previously been under discussion and had been acknowledge as correct. As it still seems to be an issue I gladly give the names in birth order

According to the book I am referring to. b1c8d1e1 Aletta Maria Potgieter married Anthonie Michiel Muller b2c1 and her halfsister b1c8d1e7 Aletta Maria Potgieter Maried Thomas Ignatius Ferreira, she died during the birth of her daughter Aletta Maria Ferreira 1825.

Theodorus Daniel Potgieter b1c8d3e3f1 Born Sep 1809 married Martha Jacoba Muller born 1815 Port Elizabeth Daughter of Anthonie Michiel Muller and Aletta Maria Potgieter d1e1 (Keeping the brains in the family)

So I have no doubt that they married as above.

Sorry I have to correct myself otherwise you will do it. Those two Aletta Maria`s weren't half sisters they were own sisters.

( my brother in law at one time brought me some small "halfmens" plants from South Africa. ( I don't know the English name for them ) It is plants with a long stem and bushy head of green leaves . He wasn't suppose to declare the plants at the border post but his honesty get the better of him and he told Immigration that he have three HALFPEOPLE in the car. The short answer was. "They have to report at the counter with their passports"

I notices that Antonie Michiel Muller, b2c1 was remove from Maria Potgieter b1c8d1e1 as a husband. I strongly believe that she was the husband of b2c1. If you look at the witness, maybe we find the link.

I have no other sources than My "book" and the usual SAG volumes. Marie and Charlene have such good documentation and are so convincing that I feel we can take their findings as correct if Peter Dennis and Pieter Taljaard as well as you agree. . We can just put in the history part some note that the profiles was under discussion and we have come to this Conclusion So that posterity cant blame us for being asleep.

June, looking at your note you will notice that although Anthonie is labeled b2c1, my note was on his first cousin b1c5 which means that here we might have had wrong merges or errors also in SAG vol 5

Clearly the above indicates DIFFERENT Anthonie Michiel/Michael Mullers and DIFFERENT Aletta Maria Potgieters

CONCLUSION 1: The two Aletta Maria Potgieters are both show as wives since the 2 Anthonie Michiel/Michael have been incorrectly merged.

CONCLUSION 2: The wrong information currently appears in the curator note of b2c1

CONCLUSION 3: We might have removed the wrong Aletta Maria from the right Anthonie Michiel

CONCLUSION 4: We have to check that we have not incorrectly linked Michiel to Michael / Michael to Michiel in the MOOC's

CONCLUSION 5: We must thoroughly check both Anthonies b1c5 and b2c1 to ensure that all the contributive evidence now correlate

Marie , Charlene , Daan, Please take over and sort it out. I don't want to be in Junes, bad books when she comes back. I really haven't got the sources , know how to handle this. Please , Please, assebliefffff.
