I was distracted and pushed a wrong button approving instead of rejecting a merge between Dorothy Needham and a 14th century Dorothy Savage. I was able to disconnect some of my mistake, but could not remove the erroneous parent and child, each of which can be identified by the title "sir"

Have you tried contacting Undine Reidy? She was active recently, so she may still be available to help.

In the future if a mishap occurs you can post here about the wrong merge and a Curator can do a undo merge.

I got time up errors, had it yesterday and now, I really can't open that profile at all. What's the cause?

Private, please don't - if you start reposting and link to spam you make it worse, - someone might happen til click the links and get their PC's infected.

I do a daily check for such, and report / delete them, so please don't highlight them in a discussion with so many followers like this...

It is better you leave it as it it, - only people checking projects and discussions they are not following did see them, and it is best that they silently stay there until managed by Geni staff.

My message was directed to those none-Curators that had reported the discussion topics and projects. Those which was already reported gave me some extra work to hide them since I go the message that they was already reported, and had to override that to get them removed.

Private User thank you. I needed that warning. I don't really bother to even look at funny name on my data conflicts. Now I will be even more careful

BTW: If you get spam in an existing project, - don't report the project,- we once lost a project with over 30,000 profiles attached to it because of that, and that project is not yet fully restored, - all project discussions got lost.

Private User and others.. I was wondering I have seen spam profiles that show projects that have nothing to do with research topics I report the profile but what do I do about the projects on the profile do I let c.s handle it when I click the report as spam on the profile? thanks.

Just report the message, - this round of spammers followed a lot of projects as well, but only one post to such a project was done, which Private User was able to remove as posted above.

Can anyone else open this profile, or is it just me that get this?

I don't usally report projects anyway unless of course they are pure spam ads for sports.

I'm getting a lot of this happening on profiles:

Geni may experience intermittent outages starting at 11pm PDT tonight (6am Tuesday GMT) and lasting up to three hours, due to network maintenance. Thank you for your understanding. Maybe that's what they aim to fix later on

Yes, Michael, I believe the network maintenance will fix the time out problem.

has four parents; two need to get detached; the correct ones are actually MP's --

Col. John White, Jr. is his father;

Mary Elizabeth “Betsey” White is his mother;

I think part of the problem is that his mother is Mary Elizabeth "Betsy," and her name has gotten divided up amongst profiles.

The other two profiles got added a couple of years ago, and the manager doesn't seem to be active.
