Thomas A Bishop
I believe his two wives are the same person and should be merged, but the system does not allow me to do it

Hr Jacob van Faassen
I think his wives and daughters are duplicates, but I cannot merge them

It's done, Arie.

bedankt George!

Ooops. Please undo the last merge on Rebecca [Willey] Tibbets

Done Justin!

I could use help on my tree

Dear Hope,

We could all use help. Unlimited time would be a nice New Year's present. But precisely where on your tree do you need help most, and think that results are most likely?

Mark

Thanks, June!

FYI: There are (at least) two projects focused on helping overcome 'brick walls' in one's genealogical search: http://www.geni.com/projects/Brick-Wall-Workshop/13085 and http://www.geni.com/projects/Genealogical-brick-walls/11418 as two examples.

FYI #2: It may be a reminder that it is not part of the Geni Curator "job description" for the Curators (volunteers) to help with genealogical research ... though a number of them may choose to do so! As a reminder, the purpose of this discussion topic is for those issues which require the 'extra tools' which are available only to Curators.

well i mostly want to work on the bahr side of my family tree. i have redone my 5th-7th great grandfathers many times because idk what ones are correct. my gr aunt only had my 4th great grand parents on down. also i was trying to do my dads dads side the busemans but i only got to my 3rd great but idk if the 3rd great is correct. i have tried many sites to get certain things correct as possible to make more things pop up but i have run into dead ends

to quote dan this place is not for research help... ok?

Okay. Thanks!

i have enough trouble untangling my own lines as it is.

Another source: http://racineshistoire.free.fr/LGN/PDF/Meulan-Beaumont.pdf (page 6) agrees: she married Raoul Ill de Tancarville.

I would like to see who is curating that area & have them address the merge / correction.

George J. Homs would you take a look & curate perhaps? Merci (or as we say in Brooklyn, "mercy, mercy me."). :)

I fear the answer is not straightforward. Both the Geneanet and Racineshistoire line-ups (and then some others, too) seem to be incorrect/conflicting on other points (too many Guillaume and Raoul in those families for comfort, I guess). I'm digging into some books in order to have clarity about the related lordships, as the inheritance of titles may bring some clarity (I hope :-) ).

Thank you, George. I'm glad I didn't "jump" when there is more to learn.

Private User,
*According to the first and second link site she does have the right father. I do however wonder why his first name is Samuel instead of Solomon.

* 1- http://www.dutchjewry.org/genealogy/ashkenazi/17372.htm.
*Vogeltje Salomon Meerhout, died 11 May 1880 Amsterdam, Muiderberg cemetery: Vogeltje Meerhoud, wife of de Haan., daughter of Samuel Zanwil Abraham Meerhout Mehrholz and Judith Jettele Philip Peis Harwich.
____________

*Here she is again with Samuel as father.

*Here is information about Salomon Zanwil Jacob Meerhout-Cohen‏‎, his wife and a child.

Private User,
I've moved Vogeltje for you.

can a curator take a look
thanks merci

I am having issues with 2 duplicates I accidentally made for the Eliza Griggs profile. I cannot delete the duplicates!

Could someone take a look.

Gabriel Morgan Griggs, please copy-paste the link to the profile, so we can see it.

Martin RhNegativ and Erica Howton, it took me on multiple paths where many conflicts and errors needed tp be addressed but, in the end, it turns up that Martin's request about de Tancarville was correct. A lot remains to be done, though, in the related families (not to mention all the duplicates that exist there :-( )

Martin RhNegativ, about Louise d'Humières... the description in her profile is obviously wrong, in the sense that the reference in The Peerage is wrong. Louise was the granddaughter of Humières/Hangest (like our line-up on Geni suggests) - not the daughter. These grandparents died before most of their grandchildren (including Louise) were born. Curatorship of Louise was assigned to 'Customer Service', I now took it over and added a curator note.
The correct line-up is given in "Histoire de la Maison Royale de France" of Père Anselme.

Good work, Martin!

i try my best ( i got some wrong also) :P

Louise de Balsac Seigneur d'Entragues et Marcoussins (d'Humières)

we should delete the note on geni from thepeerage.com
thanks

We could delete the note about The Peerage, but by doing so it's more difficult to say that The Peerage was wrong LOL. If we take it out, others may find it and say "Hey, I got better info on The Peerage" - and change it again ;-) Better to leave some trace, I think.
