My account has three tree conflicts, wherein selecting parents would split the tree, which is disallowed. The base issue, I believe, is that the parents in all three cases are suggested for merge, and the other manager(s) have not agreed. Possibly they're not even on geni any longer.

Is it possible a curator can complete these merges, and make these issues go away?

Can you link the profiles with the conflicts, advise if they are good matches or not?

Walter Bell, also known as "Chip" is correct. I don't know where "Ben" came from, but it's the same person. I have merged the profiles.

Ben Abrams has indeed been married seven times. This information from his daughter. She didn't know all the names.

Jacob Block is alive (to the best of my knowledge). Corrected.

Aaron definitely had four children. The ones marked "Missing" must overlap. I have merged them.

that's what I call "the power of collaboration"!

I'm a bit of a newbie here, and despite reading quite a bit about merges, am not game to even try, even if I could - but I seem to keep getting blocked at some point in the process, when I try to access others not in my family tree.

One of my ancestors is (Vice-Admiral Lord) Horatio Nelson. I set up a profile for him here: Admiral Horatio Nelson, 1st Viscount Nelson, KB
which only shows matches with 2 other records, neither on Geni.

However if you do a search on Lord Nelson or Horatio Nelson (noting that there is more than one actual person with the latter name), then several variations on his name pop up, showing many duplicates on the Geni database itself.

If anyone has the expertise and is willing to help sort this out, it would help clean up Geni's database considerably. I'm not sure how it works wtih who can see what in terms of interconnected family trees, but I would like to see these duplicates ironed out for the sake of the integrity of the family trees of everyone concerned.

You may find that his wife, Frances (Fanny), and long-time mistress Lady Emma Hamilton (who I linked to him as a partner - lacking other alternatives, and also has a confusing array of names!), mother of his only child, Horatio, may all be mixed up in this tangled web of names.

Just to clarify - the child is a daughter called Horatia Thompson Nelson, later Horatia Nelson, after marriage Horatia Ward.

Kris Hewitt 🧬 - thanks for your speedy attention - as far as I can see, I think that most of the relatives are now consolidated.

I have done a bit of minor editing to clean up and add info to the ones I know about, and also messaged a few profile managers on the Suckling/Bolton/Boulton side about some possible errors there, but there is just one other outstanding merge that needs doing:
The (descendant of Lord) Horatio Nelson I created here
Horatio Nelson, 3rd Earl Nelson of Trafalgar and of Merton
seems to appear twice as brother/son of the others; duplicate here:
Horatio Nelson, 3rd Earl Nelson of Trafalgar and of Merton

- So I think that if the former is merged to the latter, that should short that lot out!

(There is also a contentious second offspring of Lord N - to Harriet Rhees (Horatio Nelson Rhees) - but I removed the marriage relationship as he was never married to her and just left him there. One would have to dig a lot further into historical sources to attempt to verify that one, but it is of course possible!)

Note that Hans Baltzer Wentzel has been renamed, so I think he and his wife should probably be renamed back, since all the Matches reflect a different person. But in doing so, there needs to be some disconnects and reconnects, profiles recreated, maybe an unmerge. A bit more time then I have at the moment to deal with.

My ancestress Kirstine Sofie Rasmussen (née Boye) Christine Sophie Magdalene Christensdatter Boye was the daughter of Christen Pedersen Boye Christen Pedersen Boye and Heinine Christiane Kunchel (née Styrup) Heinine Christiane Styrup. Kunchel was the surname of her second husband. Her parents were Jörgen Henning Styrup and Kirstine Sophie Styrup, née Krag. See Jørgen Henning Johansen Stürup and Kirstine Sophie Grube Svendsdatter Krag, 3 S., 5 D.. Jørgen Henning Johansen Stürup and Jørgen Henning Johansen Stürup are identical, the second profile providing his full ancestry, so could you please help me merge the two of them? The same thing goes for his wife Heinine Christine Sturup (née Kragh)

To sum up could you help me link Kristine Sofie Magdalene Rasmussen (Boye) to her parents' profiles as well as linking her mother Heinine Christiane Styrup to her parents and merge them with the profiles providing the full ancestry?
