Re Alida Kagenaar
She was married to Pieter Sonneveld but NOT to Pieter Jansz Sonneveld
When I try to remove the wrong marriage, I get the error message "would split the tree". This error message is incorrect (both Pieters are linked to the big tree via their children) but nevertheless Geni stops me from doing what is necessary
I have merged the wrong persons ( Ante Šunjić ) and when I tried to unmerge the profile, becouse now the person has two pairs of parents, it was inpossible. I can`t delete the relation between parnts. The real parents of my relative Ante Šunjić are Ivan Šunjić and Ruža Šunjić, not Petar Šunjić and Jela Šunjić . So, that are two different people in one profile. If you could unmerge that profile, I would be thankful.
and in addition to my earlier post today:
Klaasje Pietersdr van der Lee is only married to Pieter Jans Sonneveld and NOT to Pieter Jansz Sonneveld (who is even younger than her children)
Again I cannot do it myself; would also split the tree
i asking to do merge acording to info in the discution

Andre Franche dit Laframboise
Andre Franche dit Laframboise
nosorigine is totaly wrong for date of birth
Just putting this out there for anyone else to have a look at, as Kris Hewitt 🧬 (who did a lot of cleaning up of the Lord Nelson tree) may be busy...
This one is coming up as a tree merge on my list:
Sir John Shelton, 22nd Lord Shelton
Could this one be showing as a potential tree merge with his father, because his father has the same name?
Private User,
It shouldn't be confused with his father. It looks like there is a merge that needs to be instituted. The match is clearly correct for him. Go ahead and request the merge on Sir John Shelton, 22nd Lord Shelton and ignore it on his father. Geni will get rid of it after the merge has been completed on the son.
Thanks very much. I don't think I can request merges as yet (still a free member, trying to gain some experience first!), but when I looked at my list of matches Sir John seems to have disappeared - so perhaps you or someone else has fixed the problem in the meantime?
Also from the same family tree (departing at Rev Maurice Suckling) and appearing on my list is this person:
Jane Kemp
Is this a similar case, that can be easily resolved?
Kevin Lawrence Hanit and Angus Wood-Salomon
Thanks to both of you for looking after those. Jane Brown seems to have dropped off the list as well now.
:-)
Can curators fix relationship paths?
Today my 9th great-grandfather, John Sr. is showing up as my 9th great uncle's first cousin's wife's father and his son, John Jr., my 8th Great-Grandfather, is showing up as my 9th great uncle's first cousin's wife's brother. His son, John III is showing up correctly as my 7th Great-Grandfather, and his son, Ambrose is also showing as my 6th Great-Grandfather, as well as his son Samuel, my 5th Great-Grandparent. Two of his sons are my 4th Great-Grandparents, but one is showing as an uncle Comfort) and the other is showing correctly (Jonathan). Not sure if this ties in, but just wanted to note that.
