It looks like Geni is saying that your father's parents were cousins. This is why you are seeing what you see for the relationship.

What I think he did is walk the tree for you.

I'm not sure I can do Angus-magic, but what I would do is use the pushpin, walk each step of the tree path, refresh the (circle icon) if it present, make sure there are no tree or data conflicts - or duplicates that can "fork off" into another dimension ....

Actually I just used the pushpin on Christine clicked on her ancestor when it brought up the result she was complaining about I just refreshed the circle icon and the results that Christine wanted showed. I did not have to walk the tree to fix anything.

That was an easy one.

This morning i made a comment in reply to an uploaded document, but noticed belatedly that the comment was set to "public." In the light of that, i wish to delete the comment, but i cannot find a way to do so. The usual drop-down menu which includes "delete" is not dropping down. I wrote a shorter, edited comment and uploaded it, but still cannot delete the first comment. Can someone please help me? I will provide the URL by private message.

Found the control-delete function -- all fixed. LOL!

There was a merge done recently with the (Lord) Nelson lines, which includes several Boltons. Looking at this profile, it looks as if something has gone wrong somewhere:

I can't find "Kitty" corroborated anywhere, and wondered if she was the same as Catherine, but the info doesn't seem to match up.

Also, there's a whole list of half-siblings whom I think probably belong to a different generation - it's making my head spin just trying to work it out at the moment!

- although no guarantees, of course, I would have thought that such a family would have been documented quite well...

If anyone is willing to dive in and assist with working this one out, I'd appreciate it. (I would otherwise message profile managers - but have found that response time is unreliable and sometimes they're not experienced enough to know how to do things anyway.)

Can anyone tell me if there's a way of disconnecting a child from 2 biological mothers (the result of a merge gone wrong, apparently), leaving the child with mother only and no father?

As I cannot corroborate anywhere that the "father" had a second wife in the form of the child's supposed mother, I can't work out how best to untangle this mess.

I have just messaged the profile manager (who set up both child, mother and father originally) but I didn't get a response about a different matter yesterday, so not sure if he's active on Geni at the moment.

Perhaps someone could PM me so I can pass on the details, please?
