I have a question.....I have a few profiles that I have requested to be added to projects using the "add profile" from the drop down menu on the project page and the requests haven't been answered. I don't collaborate with the profile managers and they seem to have abandoned planet Geni. I was under the impression that curators who were also collaborators of these projects would be notified of these requests....is that not the case?

I would just like to know for further reference so I don't waste time going through that process and just contact the collaborating curators.

I guess it's possible that I am just being impatient and ya'll just haven't gotten to me yet ;-)

How do you put up a profile where one of the children is a ward of the state and he has taken the family surname.

I would set up unknown biological parents (if you don't know them), and adoptive parents of whom he took the surname. And perhaps add a curator note to reinforce that situation.

Can someone please complete the merges of Naftula Tzvi Landau's (Naftuli Tzvi Landau) duplicate wives? I have requested merges, but no one has responded.

Also, can someone please merge this Salamon Reinitz (Salamon Reinitz) with this one (Salamon Reinitz)? Please also merge his wife Rachel in each profile (Rachel Reinitz and Rachel Reinitz). I should be able to complete the merges of his children, once that has been done.

Some time ago i mistakenly allowed a very distant cousin to allow me to be the manager of their GEDCOM file that she'd moved into GENI. Since then she has cancelled her account and that message comes up on each of the records "account cancelled October 8 2008", however, it still has me as the manager. How can we fix this? Her records have little or nothing to do with me as she's far too distant a relation and only by marriage.

Lodewijk Lemmerman when i went to amalgimate a double of him, instead it made more !!!, and his partner doubled as well, so now i have 3 profiles for the same people . thanking you in advance 'Angelina :)

Private User, I recommend asking customer service. Click on your name at the top of the screen, click "Help" (it is also at the bottom of the screen); at the top of the screen choose "submit a request"; copy your query in that space.

Oh, Help and I am So Sorry!

Can somebody undo this merge I just made? Clearly it's not correct; it looked great but then things went sour down the line.

Private User, his life span was not consistent with his attached father/mother. He is disconnected.

Private User, the merge was undone. It appeared to be a mistake involving similar names rather than vandalism.

Jim Wile -- thank you very much! This is a complicated and vast tree that I'm working with -- MANY cousins marrying MANY cousins, and all kinds of duplicate names. I'm trying to merge when appropriate, and clean things up -- but it's complicated. So many thanks, for the help!
