After looking at the 3 web trees linked above i'm not confident that there is evidence to support Gainfroi, count of Sens being the son of this particular Mainer. Especially given Cawley's comments that the Caroligian counts weren't hereditary.
Actually https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_des_comtes_et_vicomtes_de_Sens doesn't mention a Gainfroi that I can see but does name a Donnat as Mainer's son.
Further the three web pages (and Geni currently) show Death as 800 but the French wiki page, which at least gives references, makes his office in c 814 and gives Death as 817, 828 or 831
I just found a side ways reference to Gainfroi at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arnulf_of_Sens
Arnulf is born c 794, his mother Theodelinde of Sens ca.764 is daughter of Gainfroi who's DOB must then be c. 734 which would mean if Gainfroi was Mainer's son then Mainer's DOB would be c.704 making it hard to see him as an active administrator in 814.
Even adjusting to a 20 yr generation average makes his DOB c734 so still not likely to be Count of Sens c.814
Either we have two mis-merged Mainers or he is not Gainfroi's father.
