John Bevan
born 1791 England died 1839 England
is currently on GENI with
- father John Bevan, Convict "Coromandel" 1802
- mother Ann Bevan, Convict "Mary Ann" 1816
I don't think that this is correct for the following reasons
- John and Ann did not marry until 1817 in Australia after John arrived in 1804 and Ann arrived in 1816
- Ann was born in 1796 - therefore could not have had a child in 1791
According to John's trial transcript, he was married with young children at his trial. It does not note his wife or children's names and it is not believed that they travelled to Australia with him.
Therefore it is possible that John BEVAN born 1796 is John BEVAN born 1771 son from this first marriage.
I will add John BEVAN's wife from England and move this John BEVAN to be her son until we can find out more about this John.
