Solomon Zalman Globus was a grandson of Rabbi Yechiel Heilprin (Seder Hadoroth). My guess is that he was a son of Rabbi Reuven Halpern, ABD Glubna, hence the name Globus. Does anyone have more information/hints?

Sounds very logical about the name Globus coming from Glubna.
Dont have any more info on this but have heard such stories where names are taken from a village or town, or even a occupation .

I am descended from Rav Aisel Harif which means we are connected as well.

Yechiel Heilprin (Seder Hadorot) is mentioned in many places in books of some ancestors.
