Emeline did not die 1668 in London. What is the source?
She married Nicholas Johnson in 1656 after James had died and came with her son James to America. There is a church record which proves her marriage to Nicholas Johnson. And James her son stated some years later that he and his mother Eme Johnson were of old England.
And what is the source that James and Dorothy are her parents?

D.

As I recall, there was a bit of a 'tangle' around this branch a few years back, and some locations probably got incorrectly "carried in".

Please, anyone, help document and update the marriages and other dates on Emaline and James Fugate, I and their children (e.g. James Fugate, II, as well as Nicholas Johnson.

last will and testament of John Cox:
November 9th 1669
… I give unto Eme Johnson two cowes…..
…I give unto James Ffackett (?) sonne of the said Eme….

As Eme is mentioned in this will she could not have died 1668.

Emaline Lamb was Born 1630 Katherine Collegiate Church, Wapping Parrish, London England Died 1719 Stepney Parrish, London England. When she was born 1630 her father James was 30 and her Mother Dorthy was 25. Emaline had 3 children between 1650 and 1653 Peter, Jame and William. William died either in child birth or at an early age

Thanks for that information, Robart. If you have some sources/links you could add to the relevant profiles, that would be wonderful.

Also, might you have information about the wives of Emaline's sons James Fugate, II & Peter Fugate? Did they both marry the same Dorothy?

It gets confusioning Aleston had only one child and he had 3 children one 1651, 1652 and William 1653 whoo died soon after birth. The 2 other son are the forefathers of all Fugates in America. There names have been recored different ways. I believe i have figured out and i have been at this for 25 years. I believe that the James who married Dorthy Pettit is the father of Josias and from there i have my line nailed. These2 sons both had the name Pierre, one was Pierre James and the other wasJames Piere and their last name wasLa Foucate which they later changed to Fugate or one the 29 ways it has been recorded. James who m Dorthy could read and write for he signed name not using an X.more to come

I have never seen a record of a "La Foucate" since over 30 years research. James is onyl called James in the church records. There is no Peter or Pierre who belongs to this line. James name is written Fuckett in the church records and there were many Fucketts on the Isel of Wight at this time. But no La Foucate. James (born 1652)' father was also a James. And also this James is only mentioned as a James in the church record. No second name.

I have looked at the church record today and I could not find the baptism of Emeline there. There is an entry about an Ellin, daughter of Edward Lambe in the 1630s. I aso do not believe that she died in London in 1719 as she went with James, her son to America after she married Nicholas Johnson. There is church record about that marriage and also a testament
where only James Fuckett and his mother Eme Johnson are mentioned. No other son.

I have Parrish England records from Ancestry, com with Emaline's Birth and Christening, and also a Birth Christening and burial of James 1630 Husband and her son William B 1652 died Sept.1652. Many say that Peter B 1650 was also James and Emalines son, but I find no records of that being verified. Also, supposedly James Born 18 Dec 1653 some say is their son. James Born 1630 who married Emaline died 8-June-1651, verified Parrish record, so how could a child Born 18 Dec 1653 belong to James? By the way this James is the Mariner Planter Fugate that Married Dorothy Pettus and is a possibility for the Father of Josias. I believe for sure that either Peter 1650 orJames 1653 probably the father of Josias. The other concept that has been suggested is that there is another line of Fugate's out there that we are missing. In Famillytree.com where I have had my DNA done I find My Sub Clade RM 269 matches Josias's and the Peter A born 1610, so we need a good DNA match for these two to determine who Josias's Father is. Also James 1630 to 8-June-1651 and His father born 1610, Peter A also died 8-June-1651, one being 41 years old and the other being 21. What happened? Good hunting Guys I have been at this for 30 years and need help. If anyone wants to view my Family Fugate tree i will provide you a link. I accumulated many years of hard copy data from Mary D. Fugate over the years. She is the most reliable person out there with Fugate resource information. Folks I have found definite recorded information in English records where we are Huguenots so that is for sure a fact. I also believe we are from Caen France, which is only about 12 miles from the Isle of wight Island off the Coast of England,

Please post specific links to profiles and changes needed if it is not something y'all can't correct yourselves.

Once you have fields documented (preferably with documents uploaded to the Sources tab), then you can ask for a Curator to lock those documented fields.

Once an "immediate family" (parents, spouses, siblings, and children) are all known to be correct-and-complete, then you can ask to have the relationships for that profile locked (please include the specific link / URL for that profile so there is no ambiguity).

Thanks y'all -- you are the experts!! The Curator role here is mostly to "protect" the known-good information.

My tres Ancestry.com 2 DNA's do on family 1 on Ancestry. Have world wide Ancestry looking many old Parrish Records. Have had M and Y DNA's both.
