John Glover, Senior [Free Settler "Thomas Lawrie" 1831] is on Geni with a wife Sarah Young and a partner Mary Glover

All of his children are listed as the children of his partner (not his wife)

* 1790 John Richardson Glover, Junior, Free Settler "Thomas Lawrie" 1831
* 1791 William Glover, Free Settler "Prince Regent" 1829
* 1792 Anne Glover
* 1794 Sarah Glover
* 1796 Thomas Glover
* 1798 Emma Lord
* 1803 Henry Glover [Free Settler "Prince Regent" 1829]
* 1804 Mary Bowles
* 1805 James Glover
* 1823 William Frederick Lord

Both his wife and his partner are on Geni as having died in 1853 at Launceston

He married his wife Sarah in 1790 and according to http://adb.anu.edu.au/biography/glover-john-2102 he arrived in Australia in 1831 with his wife and Sarah was his widow when he died in 1849.

Questions
1) Did his partner Mary come to Australia?
2) Did he continue a relationship with Mary whilst married to Sarah?

has only John Richardson GLOVER being the son of John GLOVER and Mary RICHARDSON and all the rest of the children are the children of John GLOVER and Sarah YOUNG

Can anyone add any supporting information as to the mother of his children?

His son John Richardson GLOVER is married to Unknown Profile

Did both the father and son marry a Sara/Sarah YOUNG?

https://www.tmag.tas.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0007/66679/Glove...

has John GLOVER Senior marrying Sarah YOUNG in 1790
has John GLOVER Senior and wife Sarah arriving in Australia in 1831

For John GLOVER junior it has the mother as Mary RICHARDSON - she is not mentioned on the birth of any of the other children

Marriage of John GLOVER Jnr is not mentioned

I doubt it very much, but as written in my previous corrospondence in answer to your query, i explained that going through his limportant dates, as reading from the Elder Hohn Glover, he married to sarah young, it is NOT clear as to weather it was him,or his younger son, You would do well, to read through the govt website, and see if you can understand it more clearly, than i have done, then when you have read it see what you think, and delete one, i am not sure, so i left it until further information could be gathered, this might explain some other querys that you wrote of, about the mother having a son at such an old age, perhaps he was married twice, i can not find anything on the other mother, except,that she stayed in England

ONLY 3 children came to tasmania .

According to http://adb.anu.edu.au/biography/glover-john-2102
4 children came

sons James, William and Henry on "Prince Regent" arrived in Hobart 11/7/1829

son John Richardson on "Thomas Lawrie" arrived in Hobart 1/4/1831

John Richardson died 22/6/1868 in Kinnimoth, Tasmania
William died 1870 in Victoria
Henry died 27/7/1860 in Evandale, Tasmania
I haven't found where James died yet.

there was a Sarah on board ,

as Usual a lot of Conflicting information :)

The graves present include Colonial Artist John Glover and his wife Sarah (nee Young) and their sons Henry & John Richardson Glover.

Re "there was a Sarah on board ,"
Which ship are you referring to?

Henry and John Richardson are buried with their father in Tasmania
William died in Victoria so would be unlikely to be transported to Tasmania for burial.
I don't know where James died yet

The wife i am guessing as she was born in england "sarah"
John, Sarah and John Richardson embark for Van Dieme...
Van Diemen’s Land

Glover, Sarah and three sons move to "Patterdal...
Van Diemans Land

Maybe one son did not move from Hobart to Patterdale with his parents and brothers.
One son did end up in Victoria.

some extensive research needed to work this all out :)
