The History of Parliament states that Nicholas Bacon (1510-1579) was the 2nd son of Robert Bacon of Drinkstone & Hesset by Eleanor or Isabel, daughter of John Cage of Pakenham. More details about Nicholas and his brother Thomas and their background are at: http://www.historyofparliamentonline.org/volume/1509-1558/member/ba... and http://www.historyofparliamentonline.org/volume/1509-1558/member/ba... In "The Visitations of Suffolk 1561, 1577 & 1612" at: https://archive.org/details/visitationsofsuf00harvuoft/page/2 pages 2 & 109 refer to the Bacon=Cage marriage. page 186 gives more about the Cage family of Pakenham. There is no evidence of the CAGE family at Pakenham Suffolk being a branch of the GAGE family in Northamptonshire.
Isabel is named in the Will of her husband Robert Bacon which was made on 10 August 1548;
