I’d say Thomas Grendon, Sr., of Dukes Place may well have been son of a 1st wife. He was adult in 1627 & brother Edward was a baby in 1622. Elizabeth was living in 1628.

There is in fact question that heir Thomas was Edward’s son. This source suggests Thomas was a brother or nephew of Edward.

We’re not done. We need to make a decision on how to show Thomas Grendon, Sr., of Dukes Place Ancestry on Geni. That he was a son of Edward Grendon l, Ancient Planter is disputed, and I’m not sure we have all the Thomas’ in order.

So - do we follow Waters & move Thomas Grendon, Sr., of Dukes Place as “probable brother?”

I think we’re missing a generation of Thomas’s.

Grace Byrd is named as aunt, not sister, of the Thomas who married Sarah Stegge / Grendon / Brayne

Fixed as best I know. I can’t figure the relationship of Thomas & Edward.
