There are two sons named Malcolm with different birthdate, on born before his f
father in 1020, and other 1070. I suggest that the one born is 1020 is a bogus
son or just bad dates and should be merged with the 1070 born son.

I suspect the "de Ros" links are bogus, a way of forcing continuity between the old mormaers of Moray and the Flemish Ros/Roos family.
Last we heard, it was Malcolm mac Alaxandair who had married a sister or daughter of Somerled and had a couple of sons to keep causing trouble for the Scottish Crown. Malcolm MacEth just faded out of the picture with no report of anyone inheriting from him.
