Can anyone point out resource information, please? Ill google the unlikely parents - Sir Thomas Stanley, 4th Bt. Stanley, of Bickerstaffe & Elizabeth Stanley
Here it is.
Thomas Stanley, of New Kent County
Often confused with Bt. Thomas Stanley, son of Edward Stanley and Elizabeth Bosville. Bt. Thomas Stanley served in Parliament, has an excellent biography on line, and did not come to Virginia.

Geni had had this for years. Something happened and they got switched - again. Its not up to curators to add bios to profiles! Ive done that now.
Could it be someone missed these trenchant comments?
From https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Stanley-103
The data included in Thomas's Find-a-Grave Memorial is unsourced fictional nonsense. There is no connection between this Thomas and the Stanley's of Bickerstaff. His parentage and exact place and time of birth are unknown. His 2 wives names are unknown. There is nothing to indicate he had a middle name of Horton. Thus far records and DNA have only been able to prove 3 sons James, Thomas Jr., and John. He was last mentioned in Cedar Creek MM Minutes as still living in 1724. Sir Thomas Stanley of Bickerstaff died in 1714 in England and never immigrated to the American Colonies.
Annber Lynn Collins - this is fixed. I added some source pages from old compilation, also.

Thank you for your patience - it “had” been accurate until someone changed it. Now we’ve locked relationshiips.
Erica Howton Thank you for looking at the issue. Tons of mergers going on and a few Thomas's abd John Stanley's exits. It could've even been me but I do always try to cross reference facts like census, land deeds and books by professional or family bibles on record. I did email the Stanley family association and this was her reply.
HOUSE OF STANLEY FROM THE 12TH CENTURY
By Peter Edmund Stanley
The Pentland Press, 1998 (out of print)
Peter Stanley inherited John Seacome’s volumes on the Stanley family (1741), and realized there were errors. Seacome was also primarily interested in the history of the Earls of Derby (primarily Stanleys). He completed his draft manuscript in 1994 and circulated the relevant chapters to the known family branches, including the 19th Earl of Derby and the Lord Stanley of Alderley. Their comments and amendments were incorporated into the final manuscript.
Page 267. Sir Thomas Stanley (1670-1714), 4th Baronet, married (1) Elizabeth Patton. They had four children: Edward (1689-1776), who became the 5th Baronet, & then the 11th Earl of Derby; Thomas (1690-1696 – died at age 6); John (1692-1781) – Rector of Winwick – married, but no issue; William (born & died in 1694). Sir Thomas married (2) Margaret Holcroft – no issue.
**Therefore, your first statement that Thomas Stanley (born 1689) was the son of the above Sir Thomas Stanley is incorrect.
The next information may be found in Stanley and Allied Families, Volume 1, edited by Dr. Alvin Anderson. That volume begins with some information surmised from English Stanley resources, but focuses primarily on the immigrant Thomas Stanley and his three proven sons. That volume may be purchased from David Fawcett, Treasurer, National Stanley Family Association by e-mailing him at treasurer@stanleyfamily.org. Volume I costs $20. For NSFA members and $40. For non-members. Membership is only $15, so most people find it more advantageous to become a member (membership + book for $35.).
** We do not know the names of Thomas Stanley, the immigrant’s, wives. In any case, his birth date is NOT 1689. That is impossible, because his three sons were baptized in St. Peter’s Church, New Kent County, VA in 1688, 1689, and 1691.
**I do not understand the paragraph “Father of Mary Bunch; Thomas Stanley; Pleasant T. Stanley, John Stanley; Zachariah Stanley and 9 others.” None of them are proven children of the immigrant Thomas Stanley above. Some of them are children of Thomas Stanley, Jr., son of the immigrant. The only proven sons of his are the three whose baptism dates are mentioned above: James, Thomas, and John. See pages 116 and 117 of SAF Vol. I.
**No, the immigrant Thomas Stanley was not a brother to Sir Edward Stanley, 11th Earl of Derby, nor to the Reverend John Stanley. Nor was he a half-brother to the list of people you mentioned.
Referring to your second page:
1689 Both items are incorrect.
1696 Thomas the immigrant did not die in Ormskirk. He was more than 7 years old to sire 3 known sons.
1710 – I am not sure who this is.
1715, 1718, 1722, 1729/30, 1733/31 – These are children of Thomas Stanley Jr., son of the immigrant Thomas Stanley. See SAF Volume I. Volume Ten of SAF follows the descendants of Thomas 3 Stanley and Sarah Crew Stanley. (When purchased with Volume Ten or another volume, Volume I is half-price - $10.).
I hope this helps. The material you sent is mixed up and some is inaccurate. We members of NSFA are committed to helping researchers of the Stanley family whenever possible. As Taffy Rath suggested, we can be of more assistance to you if you tell us your specific Stanley connection with as many names, dates, and places as possible to help us make a connection.
I hope to hear from you again.
Sincerely,
Ruth Stanley Kuntz

Fixed.
You could try this free book for your line, understanding that it might be outdated.

Yes, Geni’s revision tab shows your name making the English connection. Glad you spotted and looked for corrections.
Thanks for the link and information. Just trying to figure out all the James,Thomas,John and Edwards is hard because the Stanley's are on both sides of my family in America and the Royal connection through my Dad's side, sorting them out has been tricky even for me. I've been looking at documentation only as family trees seem like the Wild West.
