Do we have any primary sources that place Burchard I von Thuringia as the son of Théodéric of the Franks
Alex Moes I ask because per https://www.geni.com/projects/Testing-for-Fake-Medieval-and-Ancient-Lines/48078, "There are no proven descents from the Merovingians."
and this line and below is creating one.
& Burkhard von Thuringia, Duke of Thuringia
for whom http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/THURINGIA.htm# has KONRAD, son of [UDO Graf im Lahngau [Konradiner] & his wife Judith [Welf] im Linzgau] as father & grandfather.
The connection to the Merovingians was only introduced 3 months ago by this merge https://www.geni.com/merge/view?revision_id=80740453490
I have undone the merge. Please edit/add to these profiles to improve their quality.
Trying to recover the page linked in the About of these profiles I came across this interesting announcement:
http://www.goldlauter.com/Gressler-Ahnen/
So the tree should probably stop at Burkhard von Thuringia, Duke of Thuringia and two of his sons are also highly suspect.
well, FMGMedlands also states that Burkhard's wife is unknown; whereas Geni has Aldred von Loingau listed.
Since you're all following Medlands as the definitive source, you will probably have to detach her.
