Hello, I could not find a Guest Book section. So I hope it is OK, to post here.
I just found out 1 month ago, I was related to Loretta, and I was so pickled pink. You see Ms.Lynn as I have always referred to her in life. Her Music and Words were my go-to place when I was down and feeling out. I sing Karaoke (online) since 1986 and I was a closet country music person that lived in the city. And I use to have Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton & Barbra Mandell hidden under Pop Stars on my Wall. And when nobody was visiting I would roll up those Pop Star Poster and have my Country Stars Shine.
When I heard the song 'I WAS COUNTRY IN MY GENES' This song took to my soul, as it said so much Truth about who I really am. But, now I found out I am related to Ms. Lynn. OMG, this song means so much to me. Today Oct. 4th, 2022, in my karaoke room, I sang that song, but I changed the lyrics 'I Got Lorretta Lynn in my Genes" then during the music interlude (pause instrumental) I have to say wait a min that does not sound right (can imagine Ms. Lynn laffing up in heaven when I sing it this way from time to time). Then I said...that is with a G, not J - Genes/Jeans. LOL.
What a new memory I will have now on my sadist day. For others in her family that might read this, I may be a distant cousin, but you all will be family to me. (as those that should be close choose not to be, they are all about themselves).
THANK YOU MS. LYNN FOR THE MUSIC, YOUR SOUL, AND YOUR WISDOM. YOU ARE MISSED.
PS. I have found out that I am related to over 100 singers just via GENI & Family Search. (try out Relative Finder.org with your FS user info to sign in. And see what famous people you too are related to) and if you find one, try going to FamousKin.com and look up by last or first name. Or just type the name of a famous person and Family Kin. (and see if you get a hit). This is what I did, and I will add, 350+ actors/actresses. not to mention Historical, Literary (authors), etc.
