John Jones Schrack (age 5) was in Norristown in 1850, having been born in OK territory. He was living with his father's sister.
His father, Lewis May Schrack , had just remarried in Paris Texas.

now let's look at John Jones Schrack's older cousin: Judge Lewis Schrack Wells who seems to have married Virginia Throop in the same paklce at roughtly the same time:

Question: Did Lewis Schracl Wells and Virginia marry in Lamar Texas? If so, it would be a coincidence that Lewis May Schrack (her husband's close relative) also married there. see familysearch =

In FamilySearch Family Tree

Lewis S Wells

Adds: birth place
Gender: Male
Birth: Circa 1830

 of Lamar, Texas

Marriage: Spouse: Mrs Annie V Wells
Between 1849 and 1850

 of Lamar, Texas

Wife: Mrs Annie V Wells

This would tie the fortunes of the Lewis May Schrack, who married his second wife in Lamar TX.
"He (Lewis May Schrack {1818-1883}) was married (a second time) in Paris, Texas, on the 6th of May, 1849, to Susan Bartlette Holman, and six weeks later crossed the plains to California.

This provided the hint:
"Mrs Annie V Wells

1870 United States Federal Census for Layfette Wells

Note another coincidence:
In John Jones Schrack's obit. it states that the deceased had moved to Beaver Falls from New Castle (!)
Lafayette Gilbert Wells

Al these coincidences seem to point to the fostering of young John by the Wells family. After all, Rachael W. Wells was his aunt.

.. and Lafayette and George were his cousins

There turns out to be a whole power structure involving this pedigree..

Remembering : Annie V. Wells was born a Thropp and Rachel Wells (Schrack) seems to have sheltered young John Jones Schrack.
