According to Mytrueancestry I have matches with Sigrid the Haughty but also with her stepchildren-Harald II, King of Denmark and Cnut the Great (995-1035), sons of
Sweyn I, King of Denmark, Norway and England. How is it possible?

What is Mytrueancestry using as evidence for your matches to Sigrid the Haughty How trustworthy are they.
What kind of matches are you talking about?
As long as you don't show the evidence behind the matches and what the matches are, it's difficult to check if your claims are correct or not.
According to Mytrueancestry I share my DNA with hundreds of people who come from all royal houses across Europe and are all related to each other. Starting from Boleslaus II of Bohemia and arriving today with the match with prince William born in 1982. If this is a coincidence then what other way is there to build my tree?
1.Sigrid the Haughty is your 26th great grandmother.
2.Boleslaus II, duke of Bohemia is your 28th great grandfather.
3.William, Prince of Wales is my 9th cousin thrice removed.

Me too :))) "Sigrid the Haughty is your 27th great grandmother.".
How it possible? I think many persons wanted to be nobel, just found the way to be :))
Maybe they crossed someone hands with silver to find the proof. I can imagine situation like that. I am a nouveau riche and I want to come in circle of aristocracy so what can I do then? Pay someone to finf my connection with Ragnar Lodbrok :))) So he is also my 34th great grandfather :))
Sigrid the Haughty is my 28th GGM linked to my Swedish ancestors. My Maiden name is an anglicised Swedish surname.
Over the years - Geni has both inspired me and frustrated me. I really appreciate the work that all the Geni profilers and Curators do. We must always remember we are all human beings and not perfect so we will (and do) get it wrong.
Over the years my frustrations have had direct ancestors (Great Grandparents) becoming, distant cousins, distant Uncles and Aunts and so on. It happens all the time and I am thankful that I did print-outs. It is no use doing war dances. Even within my own family, there are conflicting stories with no evidence.
We must always remember to be respectful because everybody "comes from where they are coming from!"
King regards sent to all.
Understand your confusion as the linkage to certain persons does seem to move over time in my experience (20+ years). Due to your post, I checked my linkage to Sigrid the Haughty and she is also my 24th GGM. Does make you wonder it we are being fed this information or if it is indeed true?
I am not completely doubtful as I appear to have many direct links to UK royalty, not just distant cousins, thus I tend to accept that my linkage is correct. Lineage back that far will produce millions of people who are direct descendents, but a direct link stated to be a GGM is something to take on board
Thanks for the information.
