Sharon-Ann Sheina de Wet Herr says of Jannetgen Jans van Wijck

Roelof Roelofsen van Wijck and Susannetgen Jans
Marriage on June 29, 1623 in Utrecht (Netherlands)

These records state that her husband was Roelof Roelofsen.

Just not sure which slide no. it appears.

These marriage Records show that she married Roelof Roelofs van Wijck on 26 June (Junij) 1623.

So her husband listed on Geni might not be correct, except if she married more than one person.

Private User says
Ms. Herr is correct. I should have checked a bit better. Thus far the only records on openarch.nl for the marriage show Roelofs Roelofsen as her husband.

I suggest that we remove the existing sources as there may have been a confusion between her husband and her son who is said to have been Adriaen Gerritsz.

The surname van Duurstede reflected her father's surname. His first name was Jan (or a derivative thereof).

Birth records will be necessary to support this as well as the name of her son.

I concur with Ms. Herr that in spite of the lettering that vaguely appears to be a 26 next to the entry, the date of marriage should be 29 logically relying on page 232 being 30 June.

I suggest this be changed.

May I proceed with the two corrections mentioned above?

Woman power!! Go you too. Thank you both.

(Baptism Records)

I have noticed on these older records, that sometimes the J's look like S's.

So some places she is noted as Sannetgen and others Jannetgen.

I have noticed on these older records, that sometimes the J's look like S's.

So her name is written as either Sannetgen and/or Jannetgen.

Profile Managers

The source documents may have been for a different profile and as this may affect other profiles on the site I removed these as discussed yesterday and suggest we continue the search / verification process to achieve a greater measure of certainty..

Best regards
Debbie

Sharon-Ann Sheina de Wet Herr I completely agree with the S and J statement. These letters often appear very similar.

Nice work, Sharon Doubell. Are we all in agreement or is there any objection to uploading the link provided on Wikitree?

I've just woken up and catching up here... I've just been logging your comments here while busy somewhere else.
Remind me which docs proves these are Roelof Adriaensz van Wijk, SV/PROG 1 ' parents?

So there is no document linking them?

This is an old Discussion - it looks to me as though someone overrode the RLs to add these two back as parents without proof: https://www.geni.com/discussions/166146
Removing them.

I Found these marriage records for Elizabeth le Bleu to David Le Fébre.

Slide No. 604, on 2nd page. Think it is the 4th entry from the bottom.

It says she was aged 56 or 57. And 'Femme' of Henry Reine and cannot make out his wife's name.

I thought her first husband was Henry Reine, but if I am understanding this record correctly, he was her father and then her mother presumably.

Perhaps someone can upload it under their Sources Tab. My copy and paste method does not seem to work.

Any imput will be welcome, so I can better understand these records.

Just wish there was a way that one was able to download the entire book of records we come accross, so we can go through them at leasure, and not always have to wonder where we found these records from in the first place.

Then one can start from the beginning and scan through every page.

It could be her Death records as well.

Not sure.
