John Love — Thanks for catching this. Gwenllian is not the daughter of Llewelyn ab Owain and Eleanor de Bar.

So I detached her — but I can’t find her anywhere in the indexes to Welsh Genealogy, AND this line, as it appears here, shows up in bunches of web trees, with various variations. And lots of garbled information that can’t be true.

Some of the people in this line, such as Rhydderch Ddu, existed — and he was married to Lleucu ferch Cadwgan, so that’s ok — but he did not have a son named Rhys.

So some of this line needs to get isolated and deleted, and some needs to be broken up and sent to where it really belongs.

Not only was Gwenllian given the wrong parents, she was given the wrong husband.

She had at first been the daughter of Llewelyn Fawr, and he did have a daughter named Gwenllian, but it wasn’t that one. Then she became the daughter of some other Llewelyn, and then another.

In the meantime, her husband was belonging to a family that had been made out of misunderstood trees of two different Cydifors. And was really married to somebody else altogether.

So Gwenllian will be leaving The Tree, and the rest of the profiles have been merged in where they actually belonged — there was a DNA line that needed to not get lost, which is why I didn’t just send them for deletion.
