Abraham Bush, Sr. is disputed as the son of John Bush, Gent. & Elizabeth Bush and has been detached.
John Bush came from England on the "Neptune" in 1618 and died in Elizabeth City County on December 09, 1624. His wife Elizabeth followed with two daughters on the “Guist” in 1619. John received 300 acres of land in Elizabeth City for passage of himself, his wife, two children and two servants. It is possible they had more children, but they would not have included Abraham, who was a claimed headright of Thomas Powell in 1657:

There is no record of Abraham in Elizabeth City County.
The Bush DNA project does not associate Abraham with John Bush of the Neptune, and has not matched Abraham’s origins:

It is likely that all those in Group E have a fairly recent common ancestor who is most likely the immigrant Abraham Bush, b 1622 in London, England or possibly a relative of Abraham back in Britain …
