It seems clear now, that two entirely different people have been conflated together.
A man named Thomas Philips, aged 74, died of paralysis at Sorell St, George Town. He was a builder, the youngest son of William Phillips [also a buildre] of Brighton, England. [So he was born Phillps, NOT Jackson]. His wife was Jane, and his children Thomas George Phillips, William Phillips, Henry Phillips, Harriett Phillips & Anna Phillips. He is buried with his wife and daughter. [from death certificate, death notice, headstone]
So the death and surname given in this profile belong to a different person.
Our man was a convict, then a farmer. His name was Thomas Phillip Jackson. His wife was Ann [nee Campbell also Alderson]. They had 4 known children; a son not named in his birth registration, Frances Jackson, William Jackson & Mary Ann Jackson. All children had father Thomas Jackson and mother Ann Campbell.
No likely death has been found for Thomas or Ann as yet, but clearly Thomas is not the Mr Phillips above & Ann is not Jane. Their children are not the same.
The one oddity is that Frances Jackson does marry, at the home of her half sister Sarah Jane Blizzard using the surname "Phillips". However, she was noted as companion to her sister, so at 16 had left home. She may have been marrying without parental permission & gave a false name. She later bore 2 children well after the death of her husband, yet registered them as his children, having travelled out of area to do so. She can be shown to be prepared to give false information when helpful to her [not that I judge her for either].
So, there is no evidence that I am aware of to show that Thomas Philip Jackson ever used an alias & the death assigned to him belongs to another man. Can his name be changed back to Jackson & the death and burial that belong to another man be removed?
I did send a message to the profile managers but have not had a response.

P.S. My connection is the Borradale family that daughter Frances married into. Sadly for her, her husband hung himself, leaving her with young children.
