I am contacting you about this profile: John Jasper, Sr.

My mother was Minnie Shirley Jasper, she was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin Jasper and Margaret Louise Tipton. I believe that the progenitor of her family on the Jasper side is John Andrew (also known as "Abraham") Jasper. According to a 2011 article by Robert Ivey, John A Jasper was of Welsh ancestry and in your profile, you have him born in Wales in 1728. What I am unclear about is, his father Thomas Je(a)spar was born in British America and seems to be of English ancestry. If John's father, Thomas, was born here, then how could John have been born in Wales? And if he was born in Wales, how do we know that? Is there a document supporting this?

Do you know the birth and death dates for Minnie, Benjamin and Margaret? That will help me see if it's the Illinois, Kentucky or Arkansas line. More than one Benjamin Franklin. The Tipton's have some work to do. I don't manage this profile but follow it to sort out my line. I was alerted via email. Thus far it looks like England as origin, but I haven't investigated 100 percent, just what I see on here. This was a third cousin line. So with more information we can sort them out. I'm just not "seeing" Stuart's line.
