Ireland IS mythical , there are so many stories like this , just check it our online , Google books will give a good result too.

55 Generations is only 1100 years (55 * 20) , that takes you to 910 ad.

of course http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/generation defines a generation as 30 years (55 * 30) or 1650 yeras, that takes use to the year 360 ad.

Yhere are pleanty of profiles that are older than that.
