George Washington's Grandmother Mary Ball (widow Johnson)

I was working down through the Montague Family of Virginia's tree when I hit a big snag around Mary Payne (Montague), daughter of Peter Montague III. She is currently listed as George Washington's maternal grandmother, Mary Ball, the widow Johnson: see [6000000001180336405] . This is a long disproven connection, as was already noted in her About section. In fact, Mary Montague Payne's burial is recorded in the Christ Church Parish Registers in Middlesex Co. before Mary, widow of Johnson married Joseph Ball
I'm trying to separate the Montague/Payne family from the Johnson/Ball/Washington families. I'm focused on the Montague family, could use some help cleaning up the Washington side of things.
