There are only two generations of Hamilton ancestors on the tree right now. Here is a site that lists 12 generations: http://www.genealogy.com/famousfolks/alexander-hamilton/index.html

Does anyone have any better or conflicting information?

That link appears to be dead. I'm interested in this subject. Has anyone ever heard of any connection between Alexander Hamilton and Paul Hamilton (1st secretary of the Navy). I have reason to believe I may descend from Paul, and I am M253 like Alexander. There are other Hamiltons in my ySearch match list, distance zero, including one born where my MDKA was born. Let me know if anyone has more on this. Thanks.

Genealogy.com seems to be a website of the ancestry.com constellation.

WRT number of generations, it seems to me that http://www.geni.com/family-tree/index/6000000005749671177#600000000... has a lot more than two generations - I see that Noah's original note was from 2011, so I guess someone's added to the tree between then and now.
