If it is the SA Daniel Marais it is my husband great gradfather and also June's. His brother Charles was my great grandfather. Charles and Daniel Married two sister, and it from them that the majority of the Marais Descendents come from.

Hi Danielle, I had a look in my records. Daniel Marais was married to Aletta Rossouw, sister of his brother Charles - my ggf - who was married to Maria Rossouw.

He is my 9th g-grandfather if I counted correctly. He had a few wives in the research I've done. I'm from his wife Anna Rousseau (Retif). I am 18 years old now btw.
