He died on his farm in Earl Township. He left a widow Catharine, three sons: Christian, John and Abraham and four daughters: Maria the widow of John Ditlo, she married a second time to Isaac Diller, Nancy married to Abraham Grove, Peggy married to George Myers, and Catharine married to Felix Binkley. Inscription: Sein leib der Ruher in der ord bifz Christ ihn wieder auferwock wird alles zur ehre gottes

He rests in the love of Christ and will wake again with all honor to God
