About Abraham Strite
ABRAHAM STRITE was born on the 31st of January, 1795, and died on the 14th of November, 1863. He married Elizabeth, daughter of John Mentzer, and they resided at the farm now owned by Henry M. Jacobs on the road leading from Miller's church to the turnpike. The present improvements on this farm, substantial stone house and barn, were erected by him. Abraham Strite frequently acted as executor, administrator, and guardian, and was thus responsibly connected with many important business transactions.
