- Agnes Bach became a widow upon the death of her husband, Julius Bach, in 1920.
- On 9 May 1942, Agnes Bach's daughter, Else, was transported from Nordhausen to Weimar, and on 10th May 1942 deported to Belzyce Ghetto in District Lublin, Occupied Poland.
- On 9 September 1942, Agnes Bach, née Hahn, signed a contract with the Reichsvereinigung der Juden in Deutschland (RV)(The National Association of German Jews) whereby she assigned all his remaining assets to the RJD. The contract was called a "Heimeinkaufsvertrag" or "Home Purchase Contract" and was supposed to provide Agnes with room & board and medical attention and other care in the Theresienstadt Ghetto. The money paid to the RV went directly into Nazi coffers, and Agnes did not receive any of the promised care.
