16 January 1538-39: Charter under the Great Seal of Scotland by which James V, King of Scots, confirms to James Dog, senior, and his wife Agnes Hammiltoun, possession of the lands of Dunrobene, Auchinbanno and Severte, in the Stewartry of Menteith and Sheriffdom of Perth. James Dog, senior, had previously resigned these land in order to obtain a new grant in favour of himself and his wife. The lands in question were to be held by them in conjunct fee and liferent, and afterwards by their lawful heirs, whom failing by the nearest heirs whatsoever of James Dog, senior.
