Agnes Lane Kimzey Long died between 1850 and 1860. She is 85 years old in the 1850 census living with her daughter Nancy Daniel.

Agnes husband, Benjamin Kimzey died about April 1808 in Buncombe Co, NC court records.

After about six years, Agnes married Joseph Long on 14 Dec 1814 Buncombe Co, NC.
Then she and some of her children along with some of her new husbands children moved to Tn. and some of her children moved on to Missouri.
On their trip to Tennessee, the Kimzey bible was dropped in the river, so the Kimzey information was rewritten into the Joseph Long Bible.
This is where we get Agnes Birthdate, her marriage date to Joseph Long, and the names and birthdates of her Kimzey children.
There is a discrepancy with a couple of the dates when compared to grave stones and one is too close to another. But grave stones are not always correct and since a lot of these people could not read and write, it was not unusual for people to not know their birthdays.

The Humphrey County Tn History says Agnes settled on the Duck River and her son David also came with her, with his sons Robert, John, William, David.
We have not found much information on this family.

She later married Joseph Long Dec 14,1814..
My 4th Great grandmother, with a great deal of courage and determination.
