Alexandra Petri is a columnist for the Washington Post ComPost blog, where her satirical wit offers a “lighter take on the news and opinions of the day.”
In addition to her work at the Post, Petri is a playwright, stand-up comic, O. Henry Pun Champion, and former Jeopardy! contestant.
In 2015, she released her memoir, A Field Guide To Awkward Silences, in which she embraces the awkwardness within, priding herself on never being afraid of “looking like an idiot.”
Petri has been a contributor to the Chicago Tribune, Newsday, and CBS.com.
She graduated from Harvard in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in English.
