About Alice (Colevyle) de Draycote, Tuchet
http://www.celtic-casimir.com/webtree/19/36541.htm
The following is copied from "The History of the Draycott Family" website at http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Agora/3542/draycott.html:
Thus the lineage continued to PHILIP DE DRAYCOTE (VI), Richard’s son and heir. He was obviously also a man of standing, appearing first on the list of Knights on a jury of the Hundred of Totmonslow.
Legal actions by his wife after his death show that he held estates in Butterdon, Kingsley, Leigh, Werslow (Orslow), and Whiston in Staffordshire as well as Draycott and Calton in Derbyshire.
He married a lady named Alice whose maiden name is uncertain. One source state COLEVYLE as Alice's maiden name, which would make Touchet a second marriage.
She is referred to as Alice Touchet after Philip’s death which suggests that she either resumed her maiden name or she remarried very quickly.
In the sordid meetings of these feudal grandees, a woman’s feelings played little part, but a well-dowered widow could buy her liberty and take her choice. Philip had the following sons; Richard, Philip, Roger and William. Philip died before the middle of July, 1294. 10542
Marriage Information:
Philip married Alice COLEVYLE 10542. (Alice COLEVYLE was born about 1225 and died before Apr 1301 10473.)
