Alice Williams was born 1608, and died 5 OCT 1700 in Salem, , Essex Co, Mass. She married William Flint 1644, son of (Unknown) Flint. He was born 1603 in Flint, Wales, Gr Britain, and died 2 FEB 1673 in Salem, MA.
Children of Alice Williams and William Flint are:
"Thomas Flint was a Puritan and kept their stern code. He testified against Hannah Phelps, a Quaker, and his evidence helped convict her in a charge of heresy. His brother William paid her fine to keep her from being publicly flogged (a fate for which Williams wife had suffered for the crime of fornication before marriage with said William Flint."
Williams wife outlived him by twenty-seven years.

“William Flint was in Salem by 1642, probably came over earlier. His wife and family followed him there, after August 1644. He was evidently lonesome and was hauled into court in 1642, for fornication with one Alice Williams, Mr. Downing was security, as Flint was a tenant of Downings. Some have thought that Bill married this Alice Wiliams, but it seems very clear from later testmony in Essex Courts that he did not do so, having already at the time a wife Alice who was the mother of all his children. Altho, the dictionary makes clear the difference between adultery and fornication, this legal difference was not always strictly observed in the old court records.” 2053.
“22 Aig/ 1696, rec. 1699, Alice Flint, widow, for affection, and also because her daughter Alice pickering has cared for her in her old age and helplessness, gives to said daughter all her goods and lands outright, signs by mark. (14:88).” 2053

Children of William Flint and Alice Bosworth????? are:
Thomas and William of Salem Rev. Alven M. Smith states: William m. Alice Williams.
the Abridged Com-endium or American Genealogy-Virkus, Vol L8, states: Willaim Flint m. Alice Bosworth, dau of Edward Bosworth, who d 1634, as the ship Elizabeth Dorcas came into the harbor. Mary, his wife, d. 1648. She and her children settled in Hingham, MA (Richard Hutchinson m. Alice Bosworth, so the Comp. is probably wrong).
History of Salem - Perley, states : "William was married before and left a wife in Eng., as his mother would not allow her to come to America with her husband. He brought one or tow children with him when he came to America. (If he did not marry Alice Williams until 1644, he may have brought four children with him. There is some evidence to show he had a mother living in this country.)
