About Alice Stratford
Biography
Alice Radcliffe, who married 1stly to Ralph Shakerley, of Aynho on the Hill, Northamptonshire and 2ndly George Stratford (died 1581).

Alice was first married to Ralph Shakerley of Aynho, Northamptonshire. They had at least
- one daughter, Ann, who married Paul Tracy of Stanway and
- a son Rowland.[1]
Alice then married George Stratford of Farmcote in about 1572. They had at least five children; some of whom were baptised at Badsey, Worcestershire.

On 15 Nov 1597 Alice, by now a widow for about 17 years, had her will drawn up.[5] She made bequests to:
- daughter Ann, wife of Paul Tracy
- sons of Ann and Paul - Paul, Shakerley, Alexander and William
- nephew (grandson) Richard Tracy
- niece (granddaughter) Ann Hall
- niece (granddaughter) Elizabeth Tracy
- niece (granddaughter) Barbara Tracy
- nieces (granddaughters) Alice and Lucy Tracy
- niece (granddaughter) Hester Tracy
- sister Millicent Poultney and her two daughters Katherine and Ann
- brother in law John Stratford
- brothers in law John Temple, Esq and John Berk, clerke.
Alice was buried at Stanway, Gloucestershire in Oct 1599. [6] Her will was probated on 12 Jan 1599/00
