Alicia More is reported to have married Sir John Stewart of Railston. According to the late George Burnett, Lord Lyon King of Arms, writing in the appendix to the preface of volume four of the Exchequer Rolls of Scotland, Sir John Stewart of Railstoun: "has been wrongly identified with the John Stewart who was with David II. (king of Scots) at Chateau Gaillard, and there contracted a marriage with Alice, daughter of Reginald More the Chamberlain, and widow of William de Herch (Airth?), in ignorance of canonical impediment, and in 1340 and 1341 received two papal dispensations removing that impediment."
