About Alina de Cansfield Heiress of Aldingham
Alice le Fleming, sister of Sir Michael le Fleming and daughter of Sir William le Fleming, inherited Aldingham when her brother drowned. She married Sir Richard de Cancefield and was the mother of John, William and Agnes de Cancefield.

Notes: initially of Harrington, etc.; settled temp. Edward I at Aldingham, Lancs, which he acquired on marrying Agnes, dau. of Robert de Cansfield by Aline (sister and heir of Sir Michael Fleming or Furness, of Michelland or Muchland in Furness, and area of Furness whose chief place was Aldingham). [Burke's Peerage]. Lost all his lands but about 380 acres of the Manor of Flemingby in litigation with the Abbott of Holm Cultram, whose lands were north of the Monor. However, by marriage to Agnes, daughter of Sir Richard Cansfield, he secured the rich manor of Aldingham on Morcambe Bay in Lancashire and moved south to that location.
