About Ammi Trumbull
In the spring of 1744 Captain Ammi Trumbull with five hundred other Connecticut men joined the companies that made the gallant and successful attempt to capture from the French Louis berg the Gibraltar of North America He went on the expedition to Deerfield December 19 1745 and was also one of three men from Windsor who responded to the Fort William Henry Alarm in 1757
