MATHEW2 STRICKLAND, born about 1671 probably in England and died in Isle of Wight County after 14 Jul 1730.[35] He married ANN BRASWELL, daughter of Richard Braswell and wife Sarah (---), in Isle of Wight County about 1705. Ann married (2) MR. EDWARDS in Isle of Wight County before 15 Nov 1731.[36] She died in Isle of Wight County after 22 Jan 1732.[37]]

MATTHEW STRICKLAND JUNIOR—Born about 1669 and died 1730 in Isle of Wight, Virginia. His wife was Ann Braswell (or Bracewell), the granddaughter of the Reverend Robert Bracewell, who was Vicar of St. Luke’s Parish, Isle of Wight, Virginia. She was born in 1674; died 1734 according to the Braswell/Bracewell Book Directory.

Ann Bracewell, Also spelled Braswell. Daughter of Richard Bracewell & Sarah Sampson. Said to have married second John Edwards in or around Isle of Wight County, Virginia.

Ann married Matthew Strickland (son of Matthew & Elizabeth) about 1705 at Isle of Wight.
